CRUC Rodeo Royalty Contestant Requirements

Queen - Ages 15-24

Princess - Ages 10-14

Jr. Princess - Ages 6-9

Royalty is to have never been married or have had children.

The age requirement is as of January of the selection year.

The Royalty shall be selected 2 weeks prior to the rodeo. The Royalty’s

reign will begin Saturday night of the rodeo and end on the Friday night of

next year’s Rodeo.

Any candidate under 18 years of age must have parents’ consent to

compete.

All persons selected for any Royalty position must be a member in good

standing of the CRUC for four (4) months prior to the Royalty contest.

• Horsemanship
  • Horse Mount Control
  • Flag Run (Queen only)
  • Wave
• Rodeo & Horse Knowledge
  • Rodeo Events & History
  • Horse Health & Anatomy
  • Horse Tack Use
• Public Presentation & Personality
  • Speech
  • Interview
